     Jody Lownds

Jody obtained her B.A. from Carleton in 2003 and her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2006.

She worked for Friends of the Earth Canada as their Environmental Justice Campaigner from 2007 until 2009.

After moving from Ottawa to Revelstoke in 2008 and seeing an opportunity for a new law practice in town, she opened up her own private practice in 2009. 

Missing work in the ENGO field, Jody joined the North Columbia Environmental Society (NCES) Board of Directors in 2010 and has been President of the Board since 2015. She has also been a member of the Columbia Basin Regional Advisory Committee since its inaugural meeting in September 2014.

Jody is an avid skier in the winter and whitewater kayaker and trail runner in the summer.
