Camp Chaparral
Welcome Home

In the shadow of Mt. Adams within the Yakama Nation, American Indian military veterans and care-givers with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs gather to share time together -- to listen to the wisdom of tribal elders, speak what is too often unspeakable, and walk a path towards healing. With new veterans arriving home daily from Iraq, Afghanistan, and other military actions around the world, Camp Chaparral helps American Indian veterans and VA staff who every day care for America’s veterans.
